Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr
We have partnered with law firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr (CDH) to measure their annual carbon footprint for their Johannesburg and Cape Town offices. Carbon footprint mapping will help CDH improve its sustainability credentials and reduce its carbon emissions.
Identifying and evaluating which corporate activities and processes generate what amount of carbon emissions are the first key steps towards the implementation of a holistic corporate carbon emission reduction and offsetting strategy. Knowledge is power.
By measuring its emissions, CDH wants to improve its sustainability credentials.
CARBON FOOTPRINT MAPPING WILL HELP CDH TO:
– Reduce its electricity, water and paper consumption
– Improve the company’s internal recycling and re-usage of waste
– Boost environmental awareness among its staff, clients, and business associates
– Offer pro-bono legal support to environmental not-for-profit organisations
Based on its first annual carbon footprint, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr wants to reduce its environmental impact in the three key areas: energy, air travel and car travel. Road transport and business flights are huge contributors to a company’s carbon footprint.
